Breeds

Aylesbury's are an ideal pet for children , they are very easy going. Producing large very tasty eggs. Aylesbury's do not need a pond as they are land ducks but do like somewhere to dip their heads!!

Cherry Valley Ducks are very similar to Aylesburys, in that they are a friendly, easy going duck, smaller than an Aylesbury and they do lay a lot more eggs!!

The Khaki Campbell is a very practical, hardy duck which is a prolific egg layer. You can expect around 200 eggs per year. They are reasonably quiet birds. They do have quite a vertical posture.

Please do contact us if you are looking for a specific breed that is not listed, as we may be able to help.

Call Ducks

The Call Duck is an energetic and a very active duck. It is small, in fact it's the bantam breed of domesticated ducks which have been bred primarily for pets. Weighing around 0.68 kg (1.5 lb) with a plump bowl-shaped body; a wide, rounded head; tiny, broad bill and short legs. It is vocal with a high pitched call. Prices to be advised.

Indian Runners

Indian Runner Ducks

Indian Runners stand erect like penguins and, rather than waddling, they run. You can expect about 150 - 200 eggs a year or more. The eggs are often greenish-white in color. Typical weight of an Indian runner is between 1.4 and 2.3 kg (3-4 ½ lbs). They do like to forage and appreciate open spaces but are happy in gardens and make much less noise than Call Ducks. The females will quack , and the drakes have a hoarse whisper.
