Weighing around 0.68 kg (1.5 lb) with a plump bowl-shaped body; a wide, rounded head; tiny, broad bill and short legs. It is vocal with a high pitched call. Prices to be advised.
Indian Runner Ducks
Indian Runners stand erect like penguins and, rather than waddling, they run. You can expect about 150 - 200 eggs a year or more. The eggs are often greenish-white in color. Typical weight of an Indian runner is between 1.4 and 2.3 kg (3-4 ½ lbs). They do like to forage and appreciate open spaces but are happy in gardens and make much less noise than Call Ducks. The females will quack , and the drakes have a hoarse whisper.
